Consultant Profile - Geoff Brokenshire
Tertiary qualified in chemistry, environmental, quality, and health and safety management. Geoff has more than 40 years' experience in handling chemicals in many situations including laboratories and manufacturing plants. He is very experienced in establishing environmental, quality, and health & safety (EQHS) management systems to comply with
- ISO9001 (Quality Management Systems)
- ISO14001 (Environmental Management Systems)
- ISO45001 (Health and Safety Management Systems) and
- AS/NZS4801 (Health and Safety Management Systems) standards.
Geoff has specialist interests in Hazardous Substances particularly the compliance requirements under the Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substance) Regulations 2017. He also has had broad exposure to the compliance requirements associated with product registration and manufacture within a wide range of environments and industries.
He is a qualified lead auditor in health and safety systems.
Geoff keeps current with legislative changes (current and proposed) through his professional associations and attending professional development training and information days. He has understanding of key off-shore legislation which is being used as the basis for changes to key New Zealand legislation especially in health and safety.
Geoff is a professional member of the New Zealand Institute of Safety Management (NZISM) and a registered Health and Safety Professional with the Health and Safety Association of New Zealand (HASANZ)
